Vienna → Podersdorf am See, Austria
I'm a physics student in Vienna, about to move into medical physics research. When I'm not in the lab, I'm out on Lake Neusiedl competing in freestyle windsurfing.
I split my year between Vienna and the water. During the semester that's lectures, lab write-ups, and soon medical physics research. In summer it's Podersdorf and Vasiliki — rigging a sail at dawn and trying to land moves I've only pulled off a couple of times.
The two aren't as separate as they sound. Windsurfing is basically fluid dynamics happening in real time — reading gusts, managing lift, controlling a rotation. It's the same kind of problem-solving as physics, just faster, and with worse consequences if I get it wrong.
Field notes — Physics
I'm studying physics at the University of Vienna. I wrote my bachelor's thesis on the Milne model, and for the past two years I've been teaching medical physics labs on the side — before starting the Medical Physics programme at the Medical University of Vienna.

Solved the time-dependent Schrödinger equation for a wave packet incident on a rectangular potential barrier using a Crank–Nicolson scheme, with the resulting tridiagonal system handled by a Thomas algorithm. Exported the evolution as an animated video.
The actual render — |ψ|² approaching, partially reflecting off, and tunneling through the scaled potential barrier.
Modeled heat diffusion through a rod — aluminum among other materials — using the method of lines: finite-difference discretization in space, stepped forward in time with explicit Euler integration.
Field notes — Windsurfing
I compete in freestyle windsurfing on the European circuit. My home spot is Podersdorf am See on the Neusiedler See — flat water and reliable thermal wind, which makes it one of the best freestyle spots in Europe.
Vasiliki, Greece — 2026
Four seasons in Vasiliki, Greece, coaching sailors from their first planing runs through advanced freestyle, alongside running the centre's equipment inventory.
Producing windsurfing and lifestyle content for the club's social channels since May 2026 — the same eye for a clean line that goes into a freestyle move.
